About Me:
I'm a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, and owner of a clinic of alternative/complementary medicine. I LOVE what I do….which is to interact–on a very personal basis–all day long with amazing people: my patients and colleagues. I specialize in women's health care, including women's reproductive health care, complex health issues, and post-trauma recovery. My spiritual practice is rooted in Tibetan Buddhism, and I strive to embody the qualities of unconditional presence, compassion, and kindness in all the aspects of my life. And, to cut myself some slack when I don't!
My patients are among my greatest teachers: their courage, determination to heal, self-inquiry, and fearlessness inspire me daily. I am honored by their honesty, amazing life stories, and trust. I love sharing a hug, a kleenex or a good belly laugh, as we work together to bring them to health. And here's the amazing thing: I think that I get more from them than I give.
I look to the healers who have most helped me as my inspiration, as I came to change careers and practice this medicine after my own experiences with it as a patient who was ill, frightened, and in desperate need of healing. I try to model their attentive, compassionate ways of being, and to honor their gifts to me, by passing it forward to my own patients.

I'm an avid gardener and lover of plants, herbs, gardens and trees. I'm an artist/photographer who has spent the past 20 years photographing gardens, farms and other “plant-focused” environments in a project I call “Entering Eden.” I don't think we've ever been out of the Garden….it's our own failure to see the sacredness of everything that surrounds us that causes us pain and a sense of isolation. My photography is a way for me to explore that sacredness, and to hopefully, capture a bit of it for others to see, as well.
I'm married to a very kind and generous man, for 22 years. No kids, but a lovely “rescue” Labrador Retreiver, named Grace. I have close and endearing friends, and a wonderful, supportive spiritual community, who challenge me to be my best, and help deflate my ego when necessary.
I say this: any day where I'm upright and breathing…that's a good day!
